Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) Research Center of Tehran University of medical sciences is was established in 2001. Dr Akbar Soltani, the founder and current chairman of the research center summarizes the main objectives of the center to be "learning, practicing and promoting Evidence-Based Medicine".
The center has carried out several prominent tasks in the past few years, the most important of which are holding hundreds of workshops, and writing of a set of books about different aspects of EBM in Persian language.
It is essential for every health care professional to know what Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) is, and to move towards an evidence-based practice.
